Useful links for camera researchTips und TricksReview on dcresource.com on digitalcamerainfo.com on trustedreviews.com on digitalcamerareview.com on photoxels.com on neocamera.com on photo-i.co.uk on akam.no (danish...) on megapixel.net on dpreview.com on Steve's Digicams on photographyblog.com Concerning the reviews I'd like to say: read them carefully and make up your mind with the pictures shown here and in the internet. I cannot subscribe all that is stated in the reviews. www.fujifilm.de (german) Official homepage of Fujifilm. www.digitalkamera.de (german) Large, well sorted camera overview with lots of datashets, reviews, forums, tips, etc. www.penum.de (german) Here you find many pictures of different cameras. www.henner.info (german) Private site with practical reviews, hints and much more. www.dpreview.com Maybe "the" site for english speaking digital fotographers. Many properly done reviews, often with direct comparisons to similar cameras, active forum with many pictures, helpful users, etc. www.6mpixel.org Why 6 megapixel is the best resolution for compact cameras. Useful programs and linksEven though these pages do not have high leveld technical aspects, they have to be built. I found the following programs helpful since they provide lots of functions and good usability. Nevertheless, I believe without any HTML knowledge you won't succeed. So I had to learn some basics.SelfHTML www.selfhtml.org Maybe the reference concerning HTML and more. KompoZer 0.77 HTML Editor www.nvu-composer.de Great freeware HTML editor. In normal mode it offers WYSIWYG editing, but you can add CSS and Java functions, depending upon your knowledge. Jalbum 7.4 Gallery www.jalbum.net Out of the variety of gallery creating programs this is my choice. It's free and has lots of skins and styles. It creates static pages, but with some preparation it allows easy organization of your gallery. PhotoPerfect (formerly FixFoto) Picture Optimization There is now an official english release and distribution. http://www.arcadiasoftware.com http://www.photoperfect.com/ppforum A very good (I believe often underestimated) program to optimize your digitally captured pictures. The main criticism is always "no layers", but if you get used to it you will no longer need layers for optimization. Ther are optional "one click" plugins I2e, Perfectly Clear, xe847) which offer very good results, even in batch processing. The second link leads to the user forum wich is very helpful and quick (mostly german, but...). Photome http://www.photome.de/ A nice little program for reading and editing EXIF, ICC and more metadata, showing all of Fujis ScenePrograms (what not all of those programs do) Back to Top |
